Inconsistancy? In the media?

Yeah, I know. I was shocked too.

Ok, remember a week ago when all you heard was speculation (stated almost as fact) that the Catholic cardinals would go for an older pope this time around because they wouldn't want as long of a reign as John Paul II had.

So then they elect Cardinal Ratzinger, who happens to be 78.

Let the whining begin!!

The headlines all started with "new pope" so I'll just boil it down... they all involved whining about how the "new pope" is 78, had an aneurism in 19fricking91 and is past cardinal retiring age, blady blady bladdy.

So da you want an old, almost dead pope, or a pope who could possibly have the same policy for like 26 years. Man, I hope he lives to be 110 just to spite y'all.
